Musci in my patio?

You cannot connect the ipod to a pair of bookshelf speakers unless those speakers have a power plug of their own that goes into an outlet (highly unlikely–they wouldn’t be true bookshelf speakers then). The reason is that the itsy-bitsy “amp” in your ipod is made to power headphones, not speakers. You need an external power source, like an amp, for your ipod to play through speakers.

The problem with not drilling through walls for wire is that your amp would then have to be outside. No conventional amp I know of would be safely kept outside. Likewise, no wireless device to receive the audio from your computer will last long outside either.

One extremely cheap solution, which will degrade the audio quality but still render it listenable, would be to buy an FM transmitter like this one:

and just take a radio out onto the patio. Send audio from your computer through the transmitter, which will convert it into a local FM radio signal. Tune the radio on the patio to the same frequency and viola! You have your own PC-radio station. No wires, no new amp, just your old crappy FM radio and this $70 transmitter.
